The Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) is Ireland’s longest established professional association representing Acupuncturists and Chinese Medicine Practitioners since 1987.
All of its members comply with the Department of Health recommendations as outlined in the NWG report 2006.The AFPA is responsible for the regulation and maintenance of a Register of Acupuncturists. Only fully qualified and insured practitioners can become members of AFPA. All members are bound by a Code of Ethics and Code of Practice, which is strictly enforced by the Executive Committee of the AFPA, thus offering a guarantee of confidence to any patient seeking treatment. It is a condition of membership that each practicing member carries Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance Cover.
Members of the AFPA are approved by Quinn, VHI, VIVAS and HSA for Out-Patient insurance purposes and we are bound by the Codes of Ethics and Practice of AFPA

Lorraine originally qualified as a beauty therapist 27 years ago, opening her first clinic at 18 years of age. She became interested in Complimentary Medicine and has been practicing this for the last 10 years. She is a qualified Acupuncturist, Nutritional Advisor and Stress Management Therapist. She also incorporates Allergy Testing in her clinic. She has recently trained with Zita West and is now affiliated to Zita West. She is continually training in the holistic field as she feels there is always something new to learn and therefore can draw upon a wealth of knowledge and experience while treating clients.
